Well, guys. Here it is. This is my first official blog post for the new year! I know it’s almost the end of January, but I’ve been packing in LOTS of education for myself. (More on that below.) In December, I connected with this amazing mama and her wonderful family and did their family photo session at the Indianapolis Artsgarden. She and her husband were so sweet. Their kids did so well during the shoot, and so did their grandbabies!
I had never been to the Indianapolis Artsgarden before, but I fell in love with its aesthetic and feel the moment I set foot inside. It was quiet, open, and peaceful. The view of downtown Indianapolis through the glass made it even better. The Artsgarden’s unique architecture and panoramic views provided the perfect backdrop for this family photo session.
The family photo session at the Artsgarden was filled with joy and laughter. The kids and grandkids were full of energy, and their smiles were infectious. We moved around the venue, taking advantage of the natural light and stunning views to capture various beautiful moments. Be sure to check out some images from their gallery below!
The combination of the Artsgarden’s elegance and the family’s warmth made this session truly special. Each photo captures the love and connection they share, set against the backdrop of Indianapolis’s vibrant cityscape.
The Indianapolis Artsgarden is a glass-enclosed structure in downtown Indianapolis that serves as a cultural and event space. It offers stunning city views and a unique and beautiful backdrop for photography sessions.
A typical family photo session at the Artsgarden lasts between 1 to 2 hours. This allows enough time to explore different areas of the venue and capture a variety of poses and candid moments.
Choose outfits that complement each other and the setting for a cohesive and visually appealing look. Neutral tones, pastels, and coordinated colors work well with the Artsgarden’s elegant and modern aesthetic. Avoid overly busy patterns and logos that might distract from the overall aesthetic.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable session, consider the following tips:
You can typically expect to receive your edited images within 3 to 4 weeks after the session. Your photographer will provide an online gallery where you can view, download, and share your photos.
Yes, many photographers offer options for ordering prints, albums, and other photo products. These can be a wonderful way to display and cherish your family photos. Be sure to discuss available options with your photographer during the booking process.
