2023 has brought some exciting changes to Nightingale and Willow Photography. All my outdoor sessions will be during golden hour, which means richer, deeper, and more beautiful tones for your pictures! Full styling and client closet access are now available for all sessions! If you prefer not to use my clothing, which is perfectly fine, I will send you an Amazon shopping link, a virtual personalized mood board with color and outfit ideas for your session, and a super detailed style guide. I will help you find everything you need within your budget. I can also rent clothing from another vendor for your session, so please keep that in mind.

Speaking of budget, I am now offering Afterpay for all my sessions. This is super important to me because I truly feel that getting beautiful family photos should be attainable for everyone.

Reflecting on Winter Memories

I’ve made quite a few great memories this winter. I played with my kids in the snow and watched my daughter build a snowman for the first time (check out this snow photoshoot). We made paper snowflake cut-outs and had multiple family movie nights. The four of us sat around the coffee table and drank hot chocolate while playing board games and trivia games. We drove through a holiday light display with dinosaurs at Ruoff Music Center. Twice! Let us not forget the snowstorm that came with subzero temps for days on end—okay, maybe not that one. Ha! 😉

I’ve also used this time to improve as a photographer, artist, and business owner. I’ve invested heavily in education, updated my equipment, started a new mentorship with a photographer from Missouri, and planned some super awesome golden hour Spring Family photo sessions for you guys!

Looking Forward to Spring

While this winter has been incredibly memorable, I am ready for change. Have you started thinking about Springtime? Oh, to see vibrant green grass and colorful flower beds in my front yard again! I miss hearing the songs of birds while getting my children ready in the morning. To see and hear those thunderstorms on the horizon and have my nostrils flooded with the unmistakable smell of musty, barky, fresh, fallen rain. Friends, I am ready.
